As a
horseman who grew up in Pasadena,
I was first introduced to Eddie Bohlin in 1968 by the late Bill Crook, who rode in the Tournament of Roses Parade for twenty-five years with his Bohlin Silver
Parade Saddle.
Like myself, Crook was a
member of the Arabian Horse Association. He and I each owned matched Chestnut Arabian horses and often rode
together on the weekends.
Bill Crook
took me to meet Eddie Bohlin on numerous occasions at his Highland Avenue shop in Los Angeles. I was proud to develop a friendship with this famous old craftsman, and
to hear his many delightful stories about his colorful life.
