Eddie
Bohlin was an excellent salesman of his products. Beginning in 1927, he began publication of
lavishly illustrated catalogues that expanded his customer base exponentially
from the Southern California region to an
international market. Although his business
was hard hit by the Depression, the success of the movie industry and his
ability to attract affluent clients in new areas enabled him to recover.
.In 1933, when the Los Angeles County
Sheriff’s Silver Mounted Posse was formed under Sheriff E. W. Biscailuz, Eddie
became a charter member.
This led to
orders for many silver mounted outfits for the posse members and their
friends.
In 1939 Eddie joined the very
prestigious Rancheros Visitadores, where he mingled with the most elite riding
group of its kind in the world and obtained many orders for silver-mounted
cowboy gear from the more than six hundred members and guests. Founded in 1930, this select Southern
California riding club included some of the wealthiest and most powerful men in
America
