It is important to remember that most true collectors do so because they love the material for its own sake, in addition to the investment value that may be available. True collectors are passionate. The desire to "identify" with the "legend of the cowboy" continues to define western collectibles as fine art. Over the long term, limited supply is positioning Western Collectibles for price increases. High quality items will increase more rapidly than those in average condition. Frankly, the excitement of chasing fine Western Collectibles and the subsequent thrill of the discovery is absolutely the ultimate enjoyable hobby experience. I highly recommend it to anyone for both fun and profit.
